Fleas and Ticks, Nothing Else Required
NexGard contains afoxolaner and does one job thoroughly: killing fleas and ticks. It is not a wormer and it does not prevent heartworm — if you need that cover too, NexGard Spectra or Credelio Plus are the combination options. For owners who already have worming handled separately, the simpler product is often the better fit.
The chew is soft and beef-flavoured, which most dogs treat as a snack rather than medication.

Why a Chew Instead of a Spot-On
Spot-on treatments sit on the skin, which means they can rub off on furniture, wash out in the bath and leave a greasy patch on the coat. A chew removes all of that. There is no drying time, no need to keep children away from the application site, and no reduction in effect from swimming.

Safety Information & Warnings

How fast does it kill fleas?
Afoxolaner starts killing fleas within hours of the dog eating the chew and continues working for a full month.
Can I bathe my dog after giving it?
Yes, straight away. The chew works from inside the bloodstream, so nothing washes off.
What if my dog spits it out?
Most dogs eat it readily because of the beef flavour. If yours does not, try offering it inside a small amount of food. If the dog only ate part of the chew, speak to your veterinarian before re-dosing.
Is one chewable enough?
One chewable covers one month. This pack contains a single chew, so it suits a trial, a top-up, or a month where you need to fill a gap.
